Have you been running around each morning with a crazy amount of stress bringing you down? Need a pick-me-up each day just to function normally? Well, then you’ve been starting your mornings all wrong. When it comes to starting your day off right, nutritionist, chef, and Vitasoy ambassador, Zoe Bingley-Pullin, has all of the right starting tips. Follow through on Zoe’s morning routine to feel your very best as soon as you hop out of bed.
Zoe’s first step for her morning routine consists of drinking 1 liter of water before she leaves the house. “It’s important to drink at least 2L of water each day to balance your fluids, flush out toxins and keep your skin looking hydrated.” she says. “I keep a liter water bottle beside my bed so I can grab it and start hydrating as soon as I wake up.”
The second step in Zoe’s morning routine is to meditate or stretch for at least 5 – 10 minutes. If you’re unsure of how to meditate on your own, Zoe suggests simply finding a quite area in your home where you can sit and just focus on your breathing.
Finally, Zoe is quiet adamant about not leaving the house before having a healthy breakfast meal. “If you skip breakfast, you’re setting yourself up for blood sugar highs and lows all day – not great news if you’re running on an on-the-go schedule,” Zoe says. So prepare a fruit and vegetable smoothie in the morning, have a yogurt, or make yourself some avocado toast just to give you that initial kick-start energy you’ll need.
